We recently carried out the electrical and mechanical works as part of the refurbishment of The Ashford Arms, a well-known country pub nestled in the picturesque village of Ashford-in-the-Water, Derbyshire.

This historic venue has been brought back to life with a high-quality renovation that blends modern comfort with traditional charm. Working closely with the client and wider project team, W Wright Electrical & Mechanical delivered a full package of building services to support the transformation.

The Nuthall Arms

Client: Nuthall Gastropub

Project Scope

The project involved the design, installation, and upgrade of electrical systems for the Nuthall Gastropub, a popular dining and social venue in Nottingham. Our team was tasked with providing a reliable and energy-efficient installation to compliment the gastropub's modern interior decor. The scope included the renovation of existing electrical systems and the integration of new electrical components to support upgraded lighting, kitchen equipment, and customer-facing features.

Key Elements of the Project:

Lighting Installation and Upgrade:

We installed a combination of ambient, task, and accent lighting to enhance the gastropub's warm and inviting atmosphere. LED fixtures were selected for their energy efficiency and longevity. This included custom lighting solutions to highlight architectural features and improve visibility in dining and bar areas.

Power Distribution and Circuitry:

Our team upgraded the power distribution system to ensure optimal functionality for a busy high-demand kitchen including appliances, refrigeration units, and POS (point-of-sale) systems.

Kitchen Equipment Support:

Electrical provisions were made for the installation of modern kitchen equipment, ensuring that both high-power equipment (e.g., ovens, dishwashers, and fryers) and low-power devices (e.g., mixers, blenders) were properly supported with dedicated circuits and outlets.
