Castleford Library, Castleford

Abbeydale Hamlet

Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet dates back to the 13th century and today is used as an educational visitor centre. Due to the popularity of the Hamlet, the visitors centre was expanded and existing facilities refurbished with Wright’s undertaking the mechanical building services installation including domestic hot and cold water, ventilation, air conditioning, insulation and sanitary ware.

Snig Hill Police Headquarters

Electrical refurbishment of the central core area at South Yorkshire Police Headquarters Building at Snig Hill. The works comprised of the upgrade of the male, female and disabled toilets and the circulating areas to each floor. All works were carried out whilst the building was fully occupied.

Castleford Library, Castleford

A combined M&E contract to transform Castleford’s existing listed central library which included the demolition of the current extension to make way for an expansion of the library housing a new museum.

Wright’s were contracted for the full mechanical and electrical services installation whilst restoring the existing building back to its former glory. Sustainability played an important part in the entire development which included state of the art energy efficiency heating, cooling, ventilation and electrical high frequency lighting systems and controls.

The buildings new modern museum space also doubles to display more of the town’s heritage, whilst the front part of the building still retains many of the original features.

Dronfield Hall Barn

The Dronfield Heritage Trust took on the challenge to turn the historical Hall Barn of Dronfield into a high specification heritage, arts and natural history centre for Dronfield and the surrounding district.

W Wright Electrical was appointed as the mechanical and electrical contractor to provide the building services to the Hall Barn. Mechanical services included a building management system, domestic hot and cold water, underfloor heating, ventilation and sanitary ware. Electrical services included new lighting, emergency lighting, small power, voice and data, fire alarm and detection.

Elizabeth House Leeds

Elizabeth House is a modern 5 storey office building located in Leeds city centre. We were tasked with providing the mechanical building services to the building which is also Grade A listed. The project involved the refurbishment of 25,000 sq ft. of office space and was carried out on design and build basis.

York Race Course New Stable Block & Moet Pavilion

York Race Course wanted to replace the existing stable block and build a new pavilion due to an increase in visitor numbers. W Wright Electrical & Mechanical carried out the mechanical and electrical building services to the new stable block, pavilion as well as upgrading existing building adjacent to the new stable and pavilion.
