Wrights
work across the full range of disciplines, including
mainstream or ‘power’ service; process
control and automation; control panels; software
engineering; system integrations; audio visual
multi-media systems; building management systems;
fibre optics; data and telecommunications; security
and fire prevention electrical systems, including
intruder alarms; closed circuit television systems;
access control or door entry systems; security
lighting; and fire alarms.
Subject
to terms and conditions, work is automatically
covered by the ECA Guarantee of Work Scheme, which
covers completed contracts in any calendar year
up to a value of £50,000 (inc VAT) and £100,000
(inc VAT) for multiple contracts for the same
customer.
Subject
to terms and conditions work is also covered by
ECA Bond. If a member’s work is terminated
for a specified reason, the additional cost of
completion will be met by the insurer to a maximum
limit of £100,000 or 10% of the contract
value shown on the Bond certificate.
Wrights
have agreed to abide by the ECA Code of Fair Trading,
which covers a range of aspects including members’
working practices, standards of workmanship and
materials, tendering and payment procedures and
the settlement of disputes.
Wrights
ensure that where required, their operatives carry
an appropriate Electrotechnical Certification
Scheme (ECS) card, the sole ID and competence
card scheme for electrotechnical operatives in
the UK. ECS cards enable operatives to confirm
their identity, competence and qualification levels.
Wrights
are kept updated by the ECA on technical developments,
changes to regulations and standards, health and
safety best practice, environment issues and sustainable
technologies issues.
If
you have concerns as to whether Wright’s
work has been carried out according to relevant
standards, the ECA Installation Inspection Service
offers an independent survey of an electrical
installation to identify where, if at all, the
work fails to meet the relevant technical standards.
If Wright’s work fails to comply with the
relevant standards, it will be put right under
the ECA Guarantee of Work Scheme, subject to the
limits of the Guarantee.
